The value of human creativity is highlighted through a recent research of Self -management In collaboration with ALCO, the results of which were released today.

According to the findings, the vast majority of consumers believe that people created by humans are of greater artistic value than those produced through artificial intelligence.

As noted in a relevant announcement, “At a time when sectors of culture and creativity are experiencing daily economic damage and unfair competition with the rapid development of AI Models (Genai) and artistic content of all kinds of artistic content, Alco’s research reflects the absolute recognition of the Greek society and role.”

The survey was conducted by telephone interviews between 3 and 8 May 2025, in a sample of 1,000 people aged 17 and over, all over Greece.

Indicatively, 90% of respondents call for special marking so that listeners know when a musical work is a product of artificial intelligence.

At the same time, 84% believe that works used as material during AI music production should also be reported.

The research also highlights the clear support of public opinion in favor of the fair remuneration of the creators.

Specifically, 73% estimate that composers and lyricists of the works used by artificial intelligence companies must be compensated for their contribution.

Overall, 94% of participants recognize the role of creators as particularly important.

In addition, 62% say they take into account the name of the composer and the lyricist before acquiring or downloading a musical work.

In a statement, the composer and president of the self -management, Yiannis Glezos, stressed that the Greek public recognizes and supports what creators are collectively claiming from European institutions and national governments: ensuring the consensus and remuneration of their crews for the use of their crews.
