At a time when areas of culture and creativity face daily economic losses and unfair competition due to the rapid development of productive TN productive models and artistic production systems, Alco’s research records the absolute recognition by the Greek society of the role of composers and musicians.
94% of respondents consider the role of composers and lyricists important, while 62% say they take into account the creator’s name when buying or storing music works.
Almost universal is the view of the need to mark the musical works produced by TN. 90% believe that there should be a special signal so that listeners know that a musical work is a product of artificial intelligence. In addition, 84% consider it necessary to report the names of the projects used as production material.
Particularly intense is the perception that creators must be paid for the use of their projects by TN systems. 73% argue that composers and lyricists whose works are used as material for the creation of music works with TN must receive a remuneration from the relevant companies, compared to just 12%.
Alco’s survey was conducted by telephone interviews from 3 to 8 May 2025, in a sample of 1,000 people aged 17 years and over, throughout Greece.
