The distribution of intangible (new type) digital signatures to companies and professionals through the Central Union of Chambers of Greece is in the implementation phase (ΚΕΕΕ).
This is a project that will enable professionals and businesses to get simple digital tools, which will help in their daily lives and concerns the distribution of a total of 376,500 digital signatures and, in particular:
- – 270,000 to the members of the Central Union of Chambers of Greece
- – 3,000 to notaries
- – 43,500 to lawyers
- – 60,000 to members of the Economic Chamber of Greece
In particular, from March 31st The distribution of remote digital signatures for notaries and lawyers has started and is in progress, through the cooperation of KEEE with the notary and law associations. Thus, the two professional branches can start the process of issuing their digital certificate, according to the instructions they have already received via e-mail from their scientific associations. The announcements for the distribution of the digital signatures to the other professional groups will follow in the following days.
So far, 800 notaries and 5,476 lawyers have started the process of obtaining a digital certificate and 1,995 digital certificates have already been issued.
The Minister of State and Digital Government Kyriakos Pierrakakis stated: “Digital signatures are one of the foundations of every digital state. Since the beginning of our term, we have taken a number of legislative and administrative initiatives aimed at establishing digital tools. With the start of the distribution of intangible digital signatures through the Central Union of Chambers of Greece and in collaboration with the Ministries of Development and Investment and Justice, we are taking another important step in this direction, thus creating an upgraded, modern and secure framework. so that more and more professionals, business representatives, but also citizens can digitally sign their documents “.
The Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, stated: “We are pleased to announce a very large project that will accelerate economic activity in the country and help serve the citizens. “Thus, more than 376,000 businesses and economic entities will have access to digital services.
