The development of a video game, at first, may seem simple: it takes place in just three main steps. However, depending on its complexity (and budget) it can involve from a single developer from an independent studio or teams with hundreds of professionals, in the case of large companies in the field.
Examples of games made by few people are not lacking, especially in Brazil, where activity in the sector is still timid. In 2021, the game Unsighted, by Studio Pixel Punk, formed by two trans developers, was considered one of the best games of the year by specialized vehicles.
Multimillion-dollar hits are also numerous and even enduring, like Grand Theft Auto V, which even though it was released in 2013 still remains one of the most played PC games in the world.
The fundamental for the development of a game is the existence of three axes: the game designers, the artists and the programmers. It is from the interaction between the three that a game is born.
