CNPq will change the way to access systems this Monday (16)

by

Starting this Monday (16), the CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) will change the way to access three systems —DGP (Directory of Research Groups), PICC (Carlos Chagas Integrated Platform) and Lattes Curriculum. A tech glitch left these last two databases down for more than two weeks in 2021.

According to CNPq, the systems will now have a new way of logging in that will be more secure. In addition, users can also log into the platforms through Gov.br accounts. The new interface also resembles the federal government system.

The board also says that “there will be no internal changes to the systems or their databases”, indicating that the change should be restricted to the login page.

In the first access to the new system, the user must use the same credentials already registered. You will then be prompted to update your password to a more secure default.

The Lattes Curriculum is an important platform for scientists to register research, projects and training carried out during their careers. The DGP, on the other hand, centralizes information from certified research groups around the country. In these groups, students and researchers organize themselves in order to carry out studies on some topic.

In turn, the PICC is where the CNPq centralizes information about grants and research grants awarded, in addition to enabling Brazilian scientists to apply for new calls funded by the council.
