Russia has not yet seen it Italy’s peace plan for Ukrainebut hopes to receive it through diplomatic channels, said today the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peshkov.
THE Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio presented them rough lines of the design of this last week and pointed out that she had discussed it with him UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres during a visit to New York.
“We have not seen it yet, we hope it will be delivered to us through diplomatic channels and we will examine it.” pointed out Peshkov.
The Italian plan envisages international organizations – such as the UN, the EU and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) –to act as mediators to organize initially local trucesDi Maio explained during a press conference from Italy last Friday.
The Italian minister said the plan has also been given to senior G7 officials.
THE former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, now Vice President of the Security Council of the country, has rejected this plan and other similar Western initiatives.
“It seems that it was not compiled by diplomats, but by local political scientists who have read many provincial newspapers and operate only on the basis of Ukrainian fake news.” reported on his Telegram account.
