Details of future conference participants are currently unknown. An invitation has been sent to almost 40 leaders, but this should mainly address the issue of already announced contributions as well as future ones from the World Bank, the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Union, the Swiss president said. .

The head of state also clarified that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will participate, without specifying in what form.

Russia has “destroyed roads, infrastructure, is doing everything it can to make life in Ukraine impossible,” said Ukrainian Prime Minister Dennis Smihal, estimating the cost of the disaster at $ 600 billion.

The Ukrainian leader called on “the international community to mobilize financial aid crucial to reconstruction.”

The conference will focus on infrastructure damaged by the war, the economy, the environment and social issues, and will include raising funds through a call for donations, Ignacio Cassis said.
