The Syrian Foreign Ministry warned Ankara today that it would consider any Turkish military invasion of Syrian territory as “War crime and crime against humanity”.

Today, the Syrian Foreign Minister said that he had sent a letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the Security Council, describing Turkey’s actions as illegal.
“They are equivalent to what can be described as war crimes and crimes against humanity,” the state news agency said in a statement.
In another warning against Turkey, yesterday the State Department expressed deep concern over the launch of a new military operation in northern Syria, stressing that it would endanger the lives of American soldiers.
