The queen Elizabeth II honored in a particularly spectacular way the English Heritage Foundation manages Stonehenge.

Portraits of the 96-year-old monarch are displayed at the Neolithic megalithic monument, as part of the annual Platinum Jubilee, to celebrate of her 70 years on the throne. The magnificent displays eight portraits, including a photograph of the Queen from the Queen’s coronation in 1953, a photograph of her riding a horse in the 1960s, an appearance at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in 2017 and many more.

“Each photo is from a different decade of the Queen’s reign,” said the British Heritage Foundation.

The 5,000-year-old stone monument in Salisbury, England, is one of many sites across the country to honor the seven decades of the monarchy, which ascended the throne when she was just 27 years old. Elizabeth’s monarchy will be honored with a four-day holiday from June 2 to 5.
