In the last 24 hours in Italy, 10,047 cases of coronavirus have been recorded and 83 people have lost their lives. In total, 689,280 diagnostic tests were performed, 1.4% of which were positive.
There are 560 patients with coronavirus in the intensive care units, while there are 4,597 in the hospital wards. Nationwide, covid patients are present in 6% of ICU positions and 8% of hospital beds 19.
The president of the greater Bologna region, Stefano Bonacini, stressed today that in the intensive care units of his area, the vast majority of coronavirus patients who have been transferred to intensive care units are unvaccinated. “Something is happening” even though in the whole region, the total number of vaccinated people reaches 90%, “Bonacini said.

However, the rate of administration of the third dose of the vaccine is increasing: yesterday, 164,000 citizens received the “booster dose”.
So far, 87% of Italians over the age of 12 have been vaccinated with the first dose, while 84.2% have received both doses of coronavirus.
