A huge fire broke out in a Moscow business center, probably trapping up to 40 people.

The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry said at least two people were injured on Friday morning.

To escape hell, people climbed to the roof of the 10-story Grand Setun Plaza in the Kuntsevo district, about 9 miles west of the Kremlin.

Nearly 200 firefighters desperately fought to save the lives of award-winning individuals trapped in glass and concrete structures.

According to the authorities, 125 people were rescued from the burning building.

Major General Alexander Klenkov, Vladimir Putin’s newly appointed Emergency Minister, has left to oversee the rescue operations.

“The search for people continues,” said Klenkov, a former bodyguard to the Russian president.

Among the three aircraft deployed at the scene of the fire is the Ka-32 helicopter, the cause of which is still unknown.

However, it is most likely the eruption and is believed to be the latest of the anomalous streams of fire that may be related to the war with Ukraine.

In Russian Twitter footage, a lot of dark smoke can be seen billowing from the building and the fire spreading. This confirms the daily fires throughout the country.

Russian media have pointed to short circuits as a possible cause of the fire.
