Chechen military leader Ramzan Kadyrov argued that Russia should launch a so-called “special military operation” in Ukraine “at a faster pace.”
It was an important summit on military tactics and, along with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, he was a close ally of Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
Kadyrov, 45, who is battling terrifying riot police in Ukraine, had previously criticized the decision to deny the Kyiv attack as too soft.
He attended the meeting, but Putin did not attend because rumors about the Russian president’s health were still widespread.
“During a business trip to Moscow, we had a very fruitful meeting with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu,” Kadyrov said.
“We had a detailed discussion about the special operations for denation and demilitarization in Ukraine and found ways to cooperate more.

After the summit, Kadyrov said that Shoigu “identified a new task which meant improving offensive tactics.”
“The measures taken will increase the efficiency of offensive operations, which will facilitate special operations at a faster pace,” he added.
The commander did not specify any tactics, but previously supported a violent shelling of the Ukrainian position.
“The Minister also sought a heartfelt gratitude to our combatants for their important contributions to the struggle between the nationalists and the formation of Bandera,” he added.
Kadyrov met in the Russian Parliament in a non-royal position, where he met with President Vyacheslav Molotin.
And he met Putin’s top aide, Anton Vaino. He called him a “dear brother”. If he met Putin during his trip to Moscow on Thursday, he did not go unnoticed.
Kadyrov, a 12-year-old father with two wives, reportedly holds a high position in the company.
Among his supporters are top generals who want a safer approach to defeating Ukraine with heavier weapons from Russian military weapons.
Kadyrov claimed to have been at the front of Mariupol with his armed son, Adam, 14 years old.
He is suspected of ordering extrajudicial killings outside of Russia in the West, and he adamantly denies this.
Kadyrov has also been accused of human rights abuses and torture against his political opponents and gay activists.
Advocates say he established order in his troubled areas of southern Russia.
