In Ireland, two mothers have died after a car crashed into a river.

Gillian Dali, a 44-year-old primary school teacher living in Douglas, Cork, died when she moved to Cork at 8:45pm on June 3.

His two sons (ages 10 and 12) survived and escaped from the car.

They were treated for life-threatening injuries and concussions at Cork University Hospital and were later released.

Later, a tow truck pulled the car out of the river.

A Garda spokesman said: “Garda are investigating all the circumstances of the incident when the car entered Cork’s Kennedykei at around 8.45pm on 3 June.

“Two boys were pulled from the water and taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.”
