A dog that disappeared during a 900-mile race was found three months later

The dog, which went missing during a school run in Alaska, was found nearly three months after it went missing.

León ran around 150 miles from the checkpoint in the famous 938-mile race on March 13, but the first search for team organizer and developer Sebastián Dos Santos Borges failed.

Yesterday it was confirmed that León was back with owner Sebastián Dos Santos Borges.

Locals in the town of McGrath said dogs often walk this way and residents leave food in the hope they can control it.

As soon as the dog was caught, Sebastian arrived at McGrath to join Leon. After that, they both left for the great city of Anchorage and returned to France.

On the second day of Sebastian’s disappearance, he had to keep running with 11 dogs.

He abandoned a race known as a “scratch” afterward with the help of snowmobiles due to high winds and harsh weather conditions.
