The Coast Guard issued a warning after images of the man about to collapse were released.

This video shows the moment an unidentified man lost his leg while walking on a narrow layer of chalk called Old Harry Rocks near Swansea, Dorset.

He landed on his back and landed on the grassy bank; there were terrifying 120 foot drops on both sides.

The tragedy was averted when the man stood up, climbed the hill and met his friends.

He stretched out his arms and walked for balance after a tense incident.

The footage was shot on camera by Calum Howlett, who was kayaking in Swannege Bay at the time.

Calm said, “If he hadn’t stopped skating, he would have fallen.”

He then shared it with the Swanage Coast Guard. The Swanage Coast Guard noticed the copy and said: “Please don’t take the risk, it’s not worth it.”

A spokesperson said: “This video was shot in a beautiful morning kayak around Old Harry Rocks. It ended almost badly for this person.

“Coast Guard crews, Coast Guard helicopters, lifeboats, ambulances, police are all responsible for this if it doesn’t malfunction.”
