Search and rescue operations are underway for women who have “fallen” from a Spanish cruise ship.

The alarm sounded at 2:00 am yesterday shortly after Azamara Quest left Barcelona and out of Mallorca.

The nationality of the woman has not yet been announced, but it is called “middle age”.

It is not yet clear how the incident happened, but it was the first eight-day cruise around Spain by an adult stationed in Casablanca, Morocco.

Two Spanish Coast Guard helicopters were mobilized to search for him along with a ship, and the cruise ship also stopped sailing for assistance.

“At 02:00 today, the Azamara Quest cruise ship reported at our Palma center the fall of a man into the sea 75 miles from Mallorca,” a spokesman for the Spanish Coast Guard reported.

“All night our helicopters 206 and 223 were looking for him in cruise operations and our ship Concepción Arenal.”

Following the pandemic in late May, the entire Azamala fleet resumed operations for the first time in more than two years.

Azamara Quest is a medium-sized vessel with seven restaurants, cafes, and lounges.

She will leave Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, on June 28 for a 14-night voyage to the Baltic Sea capital.

Currently advertised at €1.51,520 per person, the cruise will end on July 12 in Southampton.

The addresses announced by the company include Greece, Turkey, Italy and Crete.
