London Underground strikes were stopped, stations were closed and bus stops were lined up.
Londoners faced serious setbacks after the platinum jubilee banking, although many opted to work from home, as air travel chaos left Britons stranded across Europe.
London Underground advised people not to travel from the start of service on Monday until Tuesday at 8am and warned of serious network disruptions.
Members of the Railway, Maritime and Transport Union (RMT) are engaged in industrial activities in labor and pension disputes.
London Transport (TfL) said some train services will work but many stations, especially in central and south London, may be closed and others open for a limited period of time.
Passengers said they were “tired” from this morning’s pipeline strike and unable to work regularly.
As many as 4,000 station employees are on strike, creating difficulties for people like going to work or attending school for children.
Tracy Brown, 45, a mother of three from Acton, said:
“Some kids are so greedy that I’m tired of jogging to get them to school on time.”
Paul Glennon, 52, a construction worker in central London, said: There are no more parties or parades.
“I sit in the morning waiting for a bus full of people in the rain. A fucking nightmare.”
