On 5th Avenue in New York, the heart of Hellenism everywhere beat again after three years.

The heart of Hellenism everywhere struck again on 5th Avenue in New York after three years, due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Greek people took to the streets of Manhattan again on March 25, with more than 80 Associations, Unions and Communities parading in the blue and white dressed New York. Evzones of the Presidential Guard also traveled to the USA, who on Sunday morning were at the Cathedral, where the Doxology of the Archbishop of America, Hopeful, took place.

The honorary ceremonies include AHEPA and the Supreme President, Dimitrios Kokotas, the Cypriot Organizations (K.O.A., PSEKA and Pancyprian) with representatives the presidents Kyriakos Papastilianou and Filip Christofaros (Chiades, Chiakes Korais ”, United Chia Association) with representatives of their presidents, Ioannis Kontolios, Panagiotis Gerazounis and Dimitris Kontolios, but also the gold medalist of Atlanta, Ioannis Melissanidis.

Present are, among others, Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis, the Ambassador of Greece in Washington, Alexandra Papadopoulou, the Consul General of Greece in New York, Dr. Konstantinos Koutras, Consul Dimitrios Papageorgiou, the delegation from the Greek Parliament, consisting of Savvas Anastasiadis (SW), Theodora Tzakri (SYRIZA) and Evangelia Liakoulis, the Commissioner of the Republic of Cyprus, Fotis Fotiou.
