The Queen Corgi show at school in honor of the Platinum Jubilee was canceled after an uproar from her parents.

The 2019 animated film tells the story of the monarch’s favorite dog, Rex, lost in the palace and about to go home.

It was rated PG, but was called “disgusting” by his mother and father, who claimed to have scenes of “sexual assault, attempted murder, martial arts clubs, and exotic dancers.”

Some parents at Chilton Foliat Primary School, near Hungerford, Berkshire, also claimed he was “addicted to cocaine, domestic violence and attempted suicide”.

Schoolchildren serving children from 4 to 11 years old need to show a very depressing movie on May 27.

But one parent argued that this was “a complete contradiction to the values that I teach children about equality, care and love, the values that schools think they promote.”

One of the mothers of a 6-year-old girl told Newberry Weekly News:

“I can’t think why the school thought it was a good idea to screen it for little kids.”

Parents who raised concerns said in an email sent to the school: “I was strongly encouraged by two local elementary schools to watch the trailer and read the PG rating.”

However, the show was canceled at the last minute with director Katie Turner saying:

“In rare cases, we will notify parents in advance if they plan to show a PG-rated film, allowing them to withdraw their children as needed.

“As always, we listened carefully to our parents’ concerns and some parents didn’t want to show the movie to their kids, so we decided not to show it and did other activities instead. I planned it.”

In one of the Queen Corgi scenes, President Donald Trump (voice of John Coolshaw) and Mitch the dog (voice of Sarah Headland) “grab a puppy” Rex (voice of Jack Whitehall), which is said to indicate that it should be cut up. .

The two are trapped in the room together as Rex does his best to avoid it.

A reviewer for the Parent Previews website, which helps families choose the right movies for their children, said:

When Rex runs away from her, Mitzi says. “I like it,” and when Rex throws his finger in front of him and stops him, Mizu’s reply is “You want rough play? Because I really do.”

“It’s a mystery to me how this movie was filmed during the #MeToo era,” the critic said. “The idea that it’s suitable for children makes them angry and jealous,” he added.

Other scenes were considered by critics to be too violent: a scene where Rex is dragged onto a bridge and dragged across a frozen river before making sure bricks are thrown into the ice and they drown.

According to one parent’s review, “When Rex returns to the palace later, the dog sets the room on fire and blocks the door.

“Now some of the violence is the same as in children’s cartoons, but the ruthless killing in these scenes is too much for young viewers.”

Earlier, speaking about the Trump line, Ben Stassen said he didn’t think there was anything wrong with the line because kids didn’t understand what it meant.

He states, “We asked the same question and rehearsed the scene early (in the version of the story) with some American kids (no scientific choice, but enough to get an idea)…

No child understood Trump’s sexist comments. All the adults did.

“Maybe this line is in bad taste (I personally think it’s ridiculous…), but it’s not really inappropriate because kids don’t know where it came from.

“I don’t think there are bad scenes in family movies read by kids and their parents on two different levels.”
