Italy: Satisfaction for the green pass

by

The president of the Assembly of Italian Regions and the greater Trieste region, Massimiliano Fedriga, welcomed the adoption of the “enhanced green pass” by the Draghi government.

“Without this measure, if an area became an ‘orange zone’, due to an increase in cases, all commercial activities would be closed again,” Fedriga said.

He added that “these measures do not exclude some citizens, but allow anyone who has been vaccinated and is less at risk of being admitted to hospital to be able to do more.” Fedriga, meanwhile, stressed that an effort will be made to persuade the undecided who have not been vaccinated so far.

It is recalled that according to the measures approved by the government of Mario Draghi on Wednesday night, from December 6 to January 15, only vaccinated citizens, and those infected with the virus, will be allowed to enter cafes, restaurants, cinemas, theaters. , public events, clubs, sporting events and celebrations.

Unvaccinated people will only be able to enter their office, public transport, gyms and hotels, provided they bring a negative coronavirus diagnostic test.

The Italian Prime Minister announced that the controls, in the various public and private spaces, will be sampled. Many commentators, however, are skeptical, as so far there has been little verification of compliance with the “simple green pass” rules, which were adopted on 15 October.
