This is the moment a thief robs American tourists of Barcelona’s expensive watches in front of a shocked family.

CCTV footage shows a man walking behind him towards a dead end in the city’s Gothic Quarter as he grabs his arm.

The con man twists the target with one hand and nearly collapses.

He then pulled tourist Maya away from the clock, escaping the scene and surprising her family.

Police said the watch was valued at $45,000 (37,000,000) a few days after travelers said it was $800,000 (2,662,000) from Hublot.

It is not clear why the police have significantly lowered estimates of stolen watches as a result of their inspection.

The incident occurred around 2 p.m. Tuesday near the 5-star Mercer Hotel, where the family was allegedly staying.

According to a local report, they had lunch at a nearby restaurant and returned to their room for a nap.

Local Mosde Quadra police said they could not confirm what kind of surveillance was carried out.

But at the time, a spokesman for the unit said:

“The man who reported the crime said he was surrounded by a group of thieves who stole Maya’s watch. The incident would have occurred around 2:20 pm on Tuesday. He has not yet been arrested. ..

Apparently this was the opposite of CCTV, which issued a statement that only one thief was shown.

A police spokesman said: “The man who said his watch was stolen was slightly injured, but he was slightly injured.”
