In the United States, when a woman was 16, a man who said she had had forced sex was ordered to pay custody.

Christa Aversetti was of the age of consent when John Barnes, then 30, became pregnant in 2005.

Under Louisiana law, where consent is 17, people under that age cannot legally agree, so assault is equivalent to statutory rape.

Aversetti, now 32, has always claimed to have been attacked after spending the night in the town of Hammond and offering to go home.

She told WBRZ, “Instead of taking me home, he took me to my house…as soon as he got in, he raped her on the living room couch.”

When she gave birth, Abelset said she “believed people” that he was her lover’s boyfriend, but her world was turned upside down in 2011.

He continued. “When my daughter was five years old, she met him, and as soon as she met him, she stayed as a tutor and wanted to take her away.

“The, [the child] Caused by rape’.

Mr. Burns was involved in a child custody battle with a real father (Photo: WBRZ).

Mr. Aversetti claims that Mr. Burns was told he was paid alimony (Photo: Facebook).

A DNA test confirmed that he was the father. Burns told the US version that the child belonged to her, but all other questions were referred to her attorney and he commented further.

He asked Barnes for comment through his business.

In 2015, Mr. Abelset was charged through the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, but “was not assigned to a detective and nothing was investigated,” authorities said.

She now has full custody of her son after a court dispute over the provision of mobile phones.

The Louisiana Foundation for Sexual Abuse (LFASA) stated in this post:

A hearing was scheduled for the month following Mr. Abelset’s appeal for Burns’ custody revocation.
