A family of journalists killed in Brazil said their hearts ached after the bodies of the two were found.

They said they were informed that the body of Dom Phillips and the body of Brazilian official Bruno Araújo had been found.

The Twitter statement is as follows: One of the detainees was taken away after testifying to one of the men.

We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Alessandra, Beatrice and other Brazilian members of both male families, confirming that Dom and Bruno were killed.

“Thank you to everyone who participated in the search, especially a group of indigenous people who worked tirelessly to find evidence of the attack.

Veteran reporter Phillips, 57, and Brazilian indigenous expert Pereira, 41, went missing in the remote Amazon last week.

Parent reporters reported extensively on tropical deforestation, indigenous communities, and other environmental issues.

It is suggested that the two men were last seen on Sunday June 5.
