THE Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky “Accepted an invitation” from Olaf Solz to attend the next G7 summit in Bavaria in late June, said the German chancellor, who visited Ukraine today.
“Thank you, Mr Zelensky, for accepting my invitation to attend the G7 Summit”to be held from 26 to 28 June at the castle complex of Schloss Elmau (southern Germany), wrote Solz on Twitterwithout specifying whether Zelensky, who has not left Ukraine since the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, will go to Bavaria or speak at the summit via video conference.
For his part, the Ukrainian president, in a post on Telegram, thanked the leaders of Germany, France, Italy and Romania who showed solidarity with his country by visiting Kyiv today.
“Thank you for your solidarity with our country and our people”wrote Zelensky.
