A man who was allegedly trying to kidnap a teenage girl from Essex Street will appear in court tomorrow.
Luis Palma, 29, was charged with sexual assault, kidnapping and cannabis possession Wednesday after a daytime incident in Harlow.
The girl managed to escape and hide, without physical injuries.
Palm will appear at Colchester Magistrates Court in a case near Oakwood Basin tomorrow at 4:20pm.
Detective Daniela Hogan said earlier this week: “This incident would have been very frightening for the victims who showed the courage to break free and flee the area.”
“I know this case is of concern to the community, but I think it was a very rare and isolated case,” Acting Chief Inspector Terry Fisher said.
