The British government is determined to impose further sanctions on Russia and will continue to do so until Moscow withdraws completely from Ukraine, Secretary of State Liz Tras said today.

She said she would travel to Turkey tomorrow to discuss alternatives to transport grain from Odessa, saying it would take weeks to find a solution.
Britain, the United States and the European Union have co-ordinated the imposition of massive sanctions on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine, which Russian President Vladimir Putin has called a “special military operation”.
“We will continue to impose sanctions, we will continue to stop importing products from Russia until we see Russia withdrawing from Ukraine,” she said.
Britain has targeted Russian businessmen, politicians, religious leaders and companies as part of sanctions against Moscow.
