A New York subway driver allegedly injured his girlfriend at the station during rush hour.

At 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, a woman got into an argument with her boyfriend on levels 4 and 5 of the mezzanine and was held at the Fulton Street station until 9:30 a.m., police said.

According to police, the boyfriend cut the right side of his face and the right side of his back.

In Lower Manhattan, drops of blood were seen ripped from police warning tapes on the ground floor of the station.

Other photos from the New York Post show a woman with a blood-stained bandage on her head and face and a blood-stained shirt as she lay on a stretcher and was picked up by an ambulance.

The 49-year-old woman was taken to Bellevue Hospital and was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon.

The identities of her and her boyfriend were described in their fifties, but not immediately known.
