The Biden administration is expected to announce additional military assistance to Ukraine later in the day, according to CNN, citing a US official.
The new military aid packageIt is expected to include additional High Mobility Artillery Missile Systems (HIMARS) as well as artillery ammunition. The total package is expected to not exceed $ 500 million, the source said.
The White House, however, said it had nothing to say at the moment, but recalled the Biden administration’s commitment that the United States continue to provide regular assistance to Ukraine’s security.
Meanwhile, the first batches of HIMARS from the USA arrived in Ukraine, the Ukrainian Minister of Defense announced earlier Oleksiy Reznikov.
