The proportion of coronavirus carriers per capita in England has remained stable this week, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
Specifically, based on tens of thousands of sampling checks, it is estimated that there was one body per 65 inhabitants in the community in the seven days until November 20.
The trend is described as “uncertain” in England and Wales, while an increase was recorded in Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The most notable cases increase in the age groups 12-24 and 25-34 years.
At the same time, however, the SAGE Scientific Advisory Committee estimates that the R-value of the virus reproduction rate in England has risen this week to 1-1.1 from 0.8-1 last year. In London the upper price reaches 1.2.
According to a parallel analysis by the ONS, the previous time when coronavirus cases in the United Kingdom were at current levels, ie around 40 thousand per day, hospitalizations were about four times higher and daily deaths almost nine times higher.
The comparatively better picture of hospitalizations and deaths is attributed to vaccines.
