Violent intervention by police who arrested protesters, loading them on buses
Turkish police violently intervened Pride in Istanbularresting dozens of protesters and a French Agency photographer, the AFP news agency reported.
The governor’s office had blocked the march around Taksim Square in the heart of Istanbul, but protesters gathered near under heavy police presence earlier than planned.

Police arrested protesters, loading them on buses. Agence France-Presse reporters saw two buses carrying a handcuffed pole and the French Agency chief photographer Bulent Kilic, who remains in custody.
Hundreds of demonstrators holding rainbow flags rallied to “disobey”.
