The “Miracle Man” somehow escaped the collapse of the entire parking lot and the cracks in his skull.
Kate Tyler, 72, put the car on a jack and attached the wheels when she suddenly fell and landed.
His wife, Tina, was shocked to see how her husband managed to retreat from below before falling into the pool of blood.
He suffered catastrophic injuries such as broken skulls and jaws, blood clots, blood-filled lungs, and broken ears.
The wound was so bad that the doctor warned Tina, “Don’t go.”
Kate spent four months in hospital, but despite all odds, she was released in February and is now on the mend.
Since then, she has been able to take her daughter to Greece and even ride a water slide there.
He states: I don’t know anything after that. “
Tina, 70, said: I didn’t know what to do. I turned around and called for help and called 999.
“Kate was covered in blood. She somehow got out of the bottom of the truck and probably got up on adrenaline. She had blood bleeding from her nose and she was awake.”
He stood up, took a step forward, and crashed into the side of the car. Blood flowed everywhere. He was very traumatic. “
The ambulance crew arrived at the couple’s home in Gosport, Hampshire, on October 30 last year, when Kitty was rushed to Southampton General Hospital.
Among the attendees was Josh Kotrel, a PC who became Tina’s “lock” during the crisis. He took her to the hospital and waited for the news with her all day.
“Josh waved at me when the doctor arrived and gave me the horrible news that Kate wasn’t going to make this. In such a difficult time, he stepped back with his support. He’s standing tall,” Tina said.
Kitty was in the Southampton Department of Neurology until she was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth in December.
Despite his improvement, his heart stopped, had to restart at some point, and he also suffered from pneumonia.
However, on New Year’s Eve he took a shower and two days later he was taken for a walk.
Kate returned home on February 1 looking like a “weak old man” after losing muscle.
And at Easter, when the couple traveled to Yorkshire to see their daughter, Kitty collapsed again because her adrenal glands “were not working properly”.
However, after taking steroids, her condition rapidly improved and she was able to attend her daughter’s wedding.
PC Cottrell said: Kit was injured by a nurse at Southampton General Hospital as the worst head injury she has ever seen.
“Kate took her daughter to Greece a few weeks ago. Tina was very upset and Kate even got a water slide.
Regarding Kate’s incredible recovery, Tina said:
“He’s a wonderful person, he’s a miraculous person.”
