Ankara’s outrageous demands from Sweden and Finland – Akar: If they need to change the Constitution too!

by

“We are telling them to cut ties with terrorism. And they are provoking us αν As if they are waving their finger at us while the talks continue,” said the Turkish Defense Minister.

Outrageous demands were expressed in the form of an ultimatum by Ankara to Sweden and Finland as reported by SKAI correspondent in Istanbul Manolis Kostidis.

The ultimatum-type demands were made by the Turkish Minister of Defense Hulusi Akar.

“We are telling them to cut ties with terrorism. And they challenge us… As if they were waving their finger at us while the conversations continue, they went and spread the poster of the terrorist .. But what logic is this? As if they are telling us ‘we do what we want’. Then we too will do what we know ” said the Turkish Minister of Defense.

“It is impossible for us to approve and say ‘yes’ to Sweden and Finland joining NATO unless they stop supporting and having ties to terrorist organizations. We want clear steps, laws, and if a Constitution is needed ουμε We want actions. We have also stated in the talks our position on lifting the informal embargo (weapons) “ said Hulusi Akar provocatively.

The possibility of an agreement with Finland and Turkey in order to join NATO, however, was left earlier by the representative of the Turkish presidency, Ibrahim Kalin, despite the “oriental bazaar” in which Ankara is engaged in the run-up to the NATO Summit.

According to the SKAI correspondent in Istanbul, everything will depend on tomorrow’s quadripartite meeting Finland-Sweden-Turkey-NATO, which will be attended by Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Should Turkey veto their accession, things will not be optimistic about the attitude of all NATO countries towards Turkey, and that is one reason why Ankara may not raise the issue of militarization of the Aegean islands.
