A 22-year-old woman and her two younger brothers drowned last week while boating on a lake in Georgia.

Lincoln County Sheriff Paul Levier said Raven Powell, 22, and her younger brother Mason, 4, and Sawyer drowned Clarks Hill 3 at the Amity Lake Recreation Area on Thursday.

His cousin Hannah Redfern said the boy was excited to travel with his sister.

He said: “They were in our world. They mean everything to us. There is no word to explain it except horrible. How it happened in the blink of an eye is strange.”

The family says they remember the children as adventurous and kind people.

Hanna added: If they weren’t hungry, you wouldn’t have seen them without a smile.

Redfin said the tragedy would never force him to return to the lake.

He said: ‘I have this video, I’m lying on the sofa with the two children. At the end of the video, they both put their hands on my face and kissed me, and Sawyer just found out that I love you. He said, “I love you.” I am calm now.

The county court announced that three brothers had died after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities have not shared details of what happened or how the three brothers drowned, and an investigation is ongoing.

According to WIS-TV, observers pulled Mason and Sawyer out of the lake while Raven was still missing.

Upon the arrival of local law enforcement, they used SONAR equipment to search for Raven, whose body was found at 11:00 am Thursday.

All three bodies were taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Criminal Investigation Institute.
