According to the latest data from the Health Insurance Agency (HSA), there are more than 1,000 cases of chickenpox in the UK.
Currently, there are 1,076 infections across the country, 32% more than the rate announced on Friday.
UKHSA incident director Dr Sophia McKee said: More cases are expected in the coming days and weeks.
Dr. McKee urged people to be aware of monkey flower symptoms such as fever, headaches and rashes.
He states: “If you are attending a big event or having sex with a new partner during the summer, be aware of the symptoms of monkey flower and get a quick test to avoid spreading the infection.
“Currently, most cases are reported in gay, bisexual, or men who have sex with men, but those who have had close contact with the symptomatic person are also at increased risk.
He added that people with symptoms of infection should be quarantined and tested.
“If you’re concerned about having monkey blooms, don’t go to events, hang out with friends, or have sex,” Dr. McKee said.
“Instead, stay home and seek advice from 111 or your local sexual health service. Thank you to everyone who has come to get tested and help find contacts so far…
This data comes after experts warned that monkey flowers can mutate at an unusually high rate.
Experts are surprised that the virus has recently spread in countries that are not endemic.
Researchers from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) say that monkey flowers grew 12 times faster than expected after 2018.
Most of the epidemics in the United States and Europe are thought to have been reported among gay and bisexual men, but scientists stress that anyone can get it.
The UK Health and Safety Agency recommends providing vaccinations to people at high risk of exposure.
Imvanex is expected to provide the chickenpox vaccine, which is effective against monkeys.
