The President of the European Council discussed with the Turkish President the export of Ukrainian cereals
The President of the European Council expressed his deep concern at recent developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, Charles Michelto Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan at a meeting in Madrid on the sidelines of the NATO.
In a Twitter post, Michel noted that “differences can only be resolved peacefully and with de-escalation” and added that “maintaining open channels of communication is vital”.

At the same time, its President European Council points out that they discussed “her support Turkey to the United Nations and Antonio Guterres in their efforts to unblock grain exports from Ukraine. “
Finally, Charles Michel stressed that “Russia’s military attack and its invasion of a sovereign nation is unacceptable.”
