British politicians say Vladimir Putin could strike across Europe (Photo: Reuters)

Britain’s defense minister said “crazy” Vladimir Putin poses “very real risks” to other parts of Europe.

Ben Wallace’s comment followed increased investment in the country’s military.

When war broke out in Ukraine, NATO leaders met at a summit in Madrid.

In his speech yesterday, Wallace said that British troops had to survive for a long time on “meals of smoke and mirrors, deep formations and big savings”.

“Russia is now the most direct and serious threat to Europe, our allies and their shores,” he said.

I am serious when I say that there is a very real threat that Russia will fight all of Europe. In the age of long-range rockets and stealth, distance is not protected.

“It is time to signal the end of the peace dividend, and investment must continue to grow until it is too late to address the threats and lessons raised in Ukraine.

“It’s time to mobilize, prepare and relegate,” Wallace added.

His comment came after Boris Johnson declared that Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was an example of “toxic masculinity” and that the president would not make the same mistake.

Echoing these comments, the Defense Minister told LBC Radio this morning about Putin’s urgent decision.

Wallace said that the Kremlin leaders had a “Little Man Syndrome” and “Macho” worldview.

He told LBC: “Of course, I think Putin’s view of himself and the world is Macho’s view of the little man syndrome.

“I rarely hear the phrase Little Woman Syndrome. I always hear Little Man Syndrome.”

“But I think the real challenge here is the view of the Russian system that some states are inferior to others and their rights are not taken into account. They want to plunge into a new history. So they seem to think that the way to do it is through violence. and aggression.

“And I think that’s a concern.”

Mr. Wallace sent an official letter to the Prime Minister, demanding a 20% increase in defense spending to address the incapacity and counter the growing threat.

Wider security measures are being taken around the world in response to Putin’s ongoing war.
