This week the Climate Change Commission, the government’s independent advisory board on climate change issues, published a major new report assessing the UK’s progress towards zero.

As the CCC correctly points out, “there is little concrete progress” towards achieving net zero. The government said it was seeking a “high-level approach”. The main political area is the “first”. And it gets worse.

Boris Johnson often claims to be the most powerful in the world, but when it comes to climate emergencies, he is just a climate hustler trying to escape the crisis.
