Three people fell dead by the bullets of a gunman, who opened fire inside a shopping center in its capital Denmarkin Copenhagen, yesterday, Sunday.
Two 17-year-old Danes — a man and a woman — and a 47-year-old Russian resident of Denmark are dead, while 4 people, two Danes (19 and 40) and two Swedish citizens (50 and 16) are hospitalized in critical but stable condition .
During a press conference, Copenhagen police chief Zoren Thomasen stated that the 22-year-old Dane, who he was taken into custody shortly after the attackchose his victims “at random” and added that at this stage of the investigation it does not appear to be a terrorist act or that the suspect had accomplices.

According to the police, the alleged assailant faces psychiatric problems. A rifle and ammunition were found in his possession when he was arrested, Thomasen said, adding that he has been charged with serial murder and will be arraigned later today.

Several Danish media have confirmed the identity of the suspect who was released online, but his name has not been released.
The attack took place at the Fields shopping centre, located in the Amager district about halfway from the center of the Danish capital to its airport.
