As the investigation into the “Virgate” scandal draws to a close, Sir Keir Starmer’s future as Labor leader may be determined today.

The 59-year-old has vowed to resign if he is found to have violated the rules of the post-lunch lockdown with staff.

Durham Police are understood to be discussing the expected sentence in the coming days with an employment lawyer.

According to the Daily Mail, Sir Kiel has just two hours to prepare a resignation speech if he is fined.

The labor leaders and their deputy Angela Rayner are being investigated by Durham police at a dinner party in April 2021.

On the day of the Hartlepool by-election campaign, there was a demonstration where people were banned from dating inside the building, except for families and support bubbles.

However, there were some exceptions to business meetings. So the main question for the police is whether diet is an important part of their job.

Both Sir Kiel and Ms Reiner are said to have returned a “very detailed and highly detailed” response to the questionnaire to the police.

His answers included a precise timeline throughout the night.

Sir Kiel has previously claimed that he did not break the rules, but confirmed that he would “do the right thing and resign” if fined.

His comments came after Conservative leader Boris Johnson rejected the party’s gate scandal surrounding a series of 10 Downing Street meetings.

The police issued 126 fixed penalty notices to 83 people.

As I said before, Sir Keir said:

“That’s me. This is what I believe in politics.

“It’s about honesty, and we believe in honesty. Honesty requires that we take the steps that I’m trying to take if we receive a certain sanction in that case.”

Officers were able to contact Sir Kiel today about the results of the six-week survey.

A Durham police source told the email:

“But it is also a matter of real public interest, so it is decided to inform the public as soon as possible.”
