A resident said a person jumped from a second-story window to escape the burning building.
At least one person has died and three others, including a firefighter, have been taken to hospital after an ‘inferno’ blaze in a block of flats in Bedfordshire, Britain, caused by a gas explosion.
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service described the blaze at Redwood Grove, Bedford, as a “major incident”, with one resident saying a person jumped from a second-floor window to escape the burning building.

Bedfordshire Police initially said two people were taken to hospital, one with serious injuries, as emergency services responded to the blaze at the three-storey, 20-apartment block of flats, which caused the building’s roof to collapse.
Only problem is there is no mains gas. This is major devastation and can only be the work of serious explosives. https://t.co/19nCFSksm0
