The perpetrator of the deadly attack on Highland Parkclose to Chicagohad been planning the massacre “for weeks” and had disguised himself as a woman to avoid being identified, police announced today.
THE Robert Crimmo22, had dressed in women’s clothing to hide his tattoos and to make it easier to escape, according to a local police official.

Prosecutors intend to announce the charges against the 22-year-old later today.
According to police, Crimo used a rifle similar to the semi-automatic AR-15, to shoot the crowd participating in the Fourth of July parade in this affluent Chicago suburb. He also had other weapons in his possession, including another rifle found in his car.
Krimo had bought the weapons legally, from local dealers.
According to initial indications, he fired more than 70 bullets into the crowd, firing from the roof of a shopping mall. He appears to have acted alone and shot his victims at random, meaning he does not appear to have been racially or religiously motivated.
