A delegation of at least four British ministers who are considered his allies Boris Johnson they will call him tonight to resign, according to information from political editors.

The four-member ministerial group even includes Nadeem Zahawiwho was promoted by Mr Johnson to the post of Chancellor of the Exchequer only yesterday after the resignation of Rishi Sunak.

The delegation also includes Transport Secretary Grant Shapps, Northern Ireland Secretary Brandon Lewis and Wales Secretary Simon Hart.

Earlier it was known that the Housing Secretary Michael Gove he told Boris Johnson this morning that it was time to go.

The British Prime Minister had received until 5 pm local time 35 letters of resignation from members of his government, specifically from two ministers, 15 under-secretaries and 18 lower-ranking government officials.

Also, there are many Conservative MPs who have publicly said that they have lost their confidence in the Prime Minister, while they previously supported him. By a rough calculation, now the majority of the Tory parliamentary group has been in favor of Johnson’s resignation.

The British Prime Minister was also asked several times if he would resign during a traumatic appearance before a joint parliamentary committee in the afternoon, with questions burning about his integrity of character.

At the same time, the 1922 Committee, the relevant party body, has been considering since earlier in the afternoon whether to change the rules to immediately allow a new internal party impeachment process against the Prime Minister.
