Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot on Thursday night (7th Friday morning local time) while delivering a speech in the western Japanese city of Nara. The information is from the public television broadcaster NHK.
According to local media, Abe was attacked from behind. At least two shots were heard at the scene.
