The billionaire Lily Safrawidow of banker Edmond Safra, died yesterday Saturday aged 87, as announced by the Edmond J. Foundation. Safra of which he was president.
“For more than 20 years, Mrs. Safra faithfully supported the philanthropic legacy of her beloved husband, Edmond, supporting hundreds of organizations around the world.“, states the Foundation’s press release.
Her funeral will take place tomorrow Monday at Geneva, Switzerland.
Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil, she spent part of her life in Monaco and Geneva where she breathed her last.

Known for her philanthropy, she had particularly supported her research against Parkinson’s disease and other brain diseases.
