THE Turkey is organizing a new meeting next week on the issue, while the presidents of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, will meet on Tuesday in Tehran.

The UN-brokered deal aims to export through the Black Sea about 20 million tons of grain that has been blocked in Ukrainian silos due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

It is also expected to ease Russian grain and fertilizer exports, which have been affected by Western sanctions hitting Russian supply and financial chains.

Russian and Ukrainian agricultural products are essential to avoid worsening food crises in the world.
