Putin’s palace is located in Gelendzhik, a resort town on the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai
There is an ongoing mystery as Google Maps continues to reveal the palace allegedly owned by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Putin’s palace is located in Gelendzhik, a resort town on the Black Sea in Krasnodar Krai, as the “Mirror” writes.
Who actually owns the palace remains a mystery, but critics of the Russian regime and the Kremlin are convinced that Putin’s fingerprints are everywhere in the mysterious mansion, which includes a casino, a swimming pool and an amphitheater.
Meanwhile, a top official of Gazprom, Russia’s state oil company, claims to own the property. The former associate of Russia’s strongman, Arkady Rotenberghad been under sanctions even before the war in Ukraine broke out, as financial restrictions were imposed by the UK government in December 2020. His son Igor is a major shareholder in Gazprom drilling company.
His father, who is worth more than £2 billion, said through his press office in 2021: “I was able to work out a deal with the creditors a few years ago and became the beneficiary of this site».
Another alleged owner is the oligarch, Alexander Ponomarenkowho is believed to have helped create and build the house for his friend the president.
The palace also has a church and a 27,000 square meter guest house with 11 bedrooms. Another claim is that there is an indoor go-kart track and an underground ice hockey rink. Despite the property’s glamour, it reportedly had to be disinfected twice as there was mold in it.
A nearly two-hour documentary from the team of Russian opposition leader and jailed activist lawyer Alexei Navalny claims the incredible property on the Black Sea coast is worth more than £1 billion.
Officials and friends of Putin have rejected the claim that the palace was built for the Russian leader. Top Russian officials and oligarchs have long been accused of hoarding state assets after the collapse of the Soviet Union and using them for personal wealth, power and influence. The relationship between Putin and the rich, billionaire oligarchs is well known.
Putin said the video of the property was “boring”: “Nothing listed there as my property belongs to me or my immediate family and never has».
