Government pays last Brazil Aid of R$ 400 to 18.1 million families

The federal government releases the last installment of the Auxílio Brasil of R$ 400 as of this Monday (18). In all, 18.13 million families will receive the benefit. Starting in August, the amount will be R$ 600, paid temporarily until December.

Deposits are made according to the end of the NIS (Social Identification Number) and go until July 29th. According to the Ministry of Citizenship, the average amount released this month is R$ 408.80. A total of R$ 7.3 billion will be paid.

In addition to the main income, there are other supplements according to the profile of each family, which can increase the amount received. According to data from Citizenship, the Northeast is the region with the largest number of beneficiaries. In all, almost 8.6 million families receive the aid. Then come the Southeast (5.2 million), North (2.1 million), South (1.2 million) and Midwest (941 thousand) regions.

Among the states, Bahia leads with the total number of families benefited. In all, there are 2.26 million, followed by São Paulo (2.18 million), Pernambuco (1.44 million), Minas Gerais (1.43 million), Rio de Janeiro (1.33 million), Ceará (1 .32 million), Pará (1.15 million) and Maranhão (1.10 million).

How will the R$ 600 Aid be paid?

The government intends to increase the number of families that will receive Auxílio Brasil to 20 million. Payment must follow the same way, according to the citizen’s final NIS number. The idea is to release for everyone an Auxílio Brasil card with the debit function. Distribution began in late June, but not everyone will receive it.

For those who do not have a new card and were already part of the program, the old one, from Bolsa Família, is used to withdraw money. Withdrawal of money continues to be made at Caixa Econômica Federal branches, lottery houses and Caixa Aqui banking correspondents.

Who is entitled to Aid Brazil?

Citizens who are part of families in extreme poverty, with an income of up to R$ 105 per person in the family (per capita), in a situation of poverty, with an income between R$ 105.01 and R$ 210 per person are entitled to Auxílio Brasil. person in the family (per capita), or in the emancipation rule, which is when the beneficiary gets a formal job, but is still entitled to receive the benefit if the income per person in the family is up to R$ 525.

To receive, however, you must be registered in CadÚnico (Cadastro Único). The citizen needs to pre-register through the website or app and then confirm the data at the Cras (Social Assistance Reference Center) of the prefectures. The confirmation period is up to 120 days.

Families will be able to receive installments of R$ 720

Whoever wins the Auxílio Brasil and is also entitled to the Auxílio Gás – around 5.4 million families today – must withdraw an amount that can reach R$ 720 in August, October and December, as provided for in the constitutional amendment that increased the Auxílio Brazil and created new benefits.

The gas voucher should rise to double what is paid today. Currently, every two months, the government releases a voucher for 50% of the average price of a 13 kg cooking gas cylinder, according to a survey carried out by the ANP (National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) in the previous six months. The amount released in June was R$53.
