Hollywood is stunned by the death of actor and writer Jack Knight at the age of just 28.
According to Variety, the 28-year-old stand-up comedian, actor and writer, best known for his participation in “Pause With Sam Jay” but also in the comedy series “Bust Down, for which he had worked and written, died on the night of Thursday according to a statement from his family.
The causes of death are not yet known.
His family, who confirmed the tragic news, did not release the cause of death or the circumstances under which he died and asked that their privacy be respected.
The 28-year-old was considered a rising star and child prodigy by the Netflix family he worked with.
Comedy Central stated through its official Twitter account that Jack Knight was an exuberant and honest comedian.
“We will miss him very much.”
‘Bust Down’ and ‘Peacock’ Universal Television released a joint statement to the Hollywood Reporter, saying: ‘We are devastated by his passing. He was a brilliant comedian, visionary and artist and we are all lucky to have lived through his greatness. Our hearts go out to Jack’s family, friends and community during this sad time.”
Comedian Eddie Della Sieppe called Knight “a miracle” in a tribute post on Twitter. “An incredible talent and above all a great person” he added.
