THE Kemi Beidenock was disqualified from today’s vote of the Conservative Party MPs on the succession of Boris Johnsonas it collected 59 votes and was ranked fourth and last.

Former Finance Minister Rishi Sunak came out on top again, winning three votes to reach 118, two short of the “magic” number of 120 that would almost guarantee him a place in the final pair of candidates.

She was followed by the former Minister of Defense Penny Mordant who reached 92 votes with ten gained compared to the previous round, while the third but stronger than the rest with plus 15 votes emerged the Minister of Foreign Affairs Liz Truss, who reached 86 votes.

The final vote will be held tomorrow afternoon of Conservative MPs with the final pair of candidates to be announced at 4 local.

As for the final pair of candidates, from which the Conservative Party base will choose the final winner, new YouGov polling ahead of today’s vote has shown that the most popular candidate among party members is Kemi Beidenock, who would win in the “final” any of the other three candidates.

Instead, Mr Sunak would lose to all three women left in the succession race by afternoon, while Liz Truss has edged out Penny Mordant in the outcome of a potential battle between them.
