City of SP will vaccinate children aged 3 and 4 with comorbidities from Wednesday (20)

The City of São Paulo starts on Wednesday (20) the vaccination of children aged 3 and 4 with comorbidities, disabilities or indigenous people against Covid-19. The estimated audience is around 15,000 children.

On Friday (15), the Ministry of Health recommended the application of the immunizing Coronavac in this age group.

According to the management Ricardo Nunes (MDB), vaccination will not start for the general public in this age group because the city does not have enough stock of doses.

In order for children aged 3 and 4 to be vaccinated, those responsible must present their identification document and proof of their risk condition, such as prescriptions or reports, with patient identification, CRM (Regional Council of Medicine) number. stamped by the doctor and valid for two years.

The emergency use of the vaccine in this age group was unanimously approved by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) on Wednesday (13), without restrictions.

The vaccination schedule indicated for childhood vaccination is the same as for the rest of the population: same dosage and 28-day interval between the first and second doses.
